Abigail is a visual artist who creates images of landscape and space
using a mixture of media (pastel, watercolor and oil paint). Working
in the landscape initially, the final pieces are worked up in her studio,
many becoming more abstracted. Colour is very important, defining
and differentiating the shapes within the image.
With her education work, Abigail likes to share her experiences of drawing and observing the local landscape. She works with a variety of media, including painting, drawing and photography, encouraging collaborative working and working on a large-scale work.
Abigail has worked for Leeds Art Gallery, Creative Partnerships and
Artforms. Projects include working with nurseries, supporting creative work with staff, children and parents; working with early years in exploring colour and emotion, and collaborative artist/teacher projects in primary schools.
